Theta Chi
Eta Lambda Chapter
Theta Chi Society, as it was then known, was founded at Norwich University, Norwich, Vermont, at nine o'clock on Thursday evening, April 10, 1856. We are one of the oldest men’s college fraternities in North America.
Our motto is "An Assisting Hand," something we strive to exemplify every day both within our organization and the Virginia Tech community. Every fall, we hold a philanthropic event called G.I. Theta Chi, which supports the United Services Organizations. This nonprofit organization strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation. We also participate in a variety of other organization's events to help support their causes.
