SigEp was re-established here at Virginia Tech in the fall of 2015 and was officially recharted in Spring 2019. The Brothers of this chapter exemplify the ideals of Sound Mind, Sound Body, and adhere to the fraternity's Cardinal Principles of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love.

Chapter Conduct

  • Full Cease of Operations per Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity as of 2/27/2026
    • "The Virginia Kappa chapter is activities for an indefinite period, as per Article V , Section 4 of the Grand Chapter Bylaws and Administrative Policies and Procedures. The request is effective immediately and applies to all facets of fraternity programming, including recruitment, Balanced Man Scholarship, new member activities, ritual, Inter-Fraternity Council events, intramural games, on-and off-campus social events of all kinds, chapter meetings, chapter elections, and any other chapter activities."
    • Deferred Suspension until March 1, 2027 per Virginia Tech Student Conduct
      • Found responsible for violating the following policy during the Spring 2026 semester:
          Hazing and Endangerment
      • % of Members Found Responsible for Individual Student Conduct Violations in 2024-25 Academic Year*: 8%
    • *The percentage of individual members of each organization who were found responsible for violations of the Virginia Tech Student Code of Conduct during the academic year. These violations were not related to their membership in the organization.
