Epsilon Chapter

Pike members outside their Chapter House

Pi Kappa Alpha was the first fraternity to be established at Virginia Tech. The Epsilon Chapter was founded on November 11, 1873, making Pi Kappa Alpha the oldest student organization on campus. Although secret organizations were outlawed at Virginia Tech shortly after our chartering—remaining banned until the 1970s—Epsilon Chapter persevered and reemerged stronger than ever.

Today, the Epsilon Chapter continues to be one of the premier men’s social organizations at Virginia Tech. Our membership is composed of campus leaders, varsity and intramural athletes, scholastic achievers, Honors students, and above all, gentlemen. Our active member cumulative GPA consistently ranks among the highest for all fraternities, and we are proud to be leaders in recruitment and new member retention.

As part of a vast international brotherhood, our chapter is connected to a global network of alumni spanning industries such as business, law, medicine, government, and technology. This network provides invaluable mentorship, career opportunities, and lifelong support. Through international conventions, leadership summits, and Pike University educational programs, our members gain access to elite training and resources that help us lead with purpose and excellence.

Pi Kappa Alpha’s enduring reputation for cultivating leadership, academic achievement, and community service is a point of pride for our chapter, and we are honored to contribute to and uphold this powerful legacy.
