Mu Epsilon Delta
Theta Chapter
The Theta Chapter of Mu Epsilon Delta was founded on July 3, 2024, at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University by a dedicated group of six founding members. This chapter proudly holds the distinction of being the first co-ed chapter within the United Councils for Fraternities and Sororities under the VT Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) community.
Our members have been actively involved in a wide array of brotherhood and service events, demonstrating our commitment to fostering a supportive and engaged community within the Montgomery County region. We have organized numerous activities designed to strengthen our bonds and provide meaningful contributions to our community.
Our chapter have also established valuable partnerships with both national and local organizations, including the Gift of Life, the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM), the Pre-PA Platform, and others. These collaborations have enriched our chapter’s activities and expanded our impact, allowing us to participate in and support various initiatives that align with our mission and values.
Our Three Pillars
- Brotherhood: The sense of brotherhood in Mu Epsilon Delta is founded on collaboration, respect, and encouragement, which together create a supportive environment where students pursuing healthcare careers can excel. The connections within MEΔ cultivate a cohesive and dynamic community focused on advancing in the healthcare field. This collaborative network not only enhances members' experiences but also strengthens their readiness for future roles in healthcare.
- Service: Mu Epsilon Delta is committed to community service, actively creating diverse volunteering opportunities for its members. By organizing service projects, philanthropy events, and collaborating with local & national organizations, MEΔ provides meaningful ways for members to contribute to their communities. These activities not only benefit those served but also offer members practical experiences that deepen their understanding of the broader impact of healthcare.
- Leadership: In Mu Epsilon Delta, leadership is a fundamental value that influences our organization. We believe that cultivating strong leadership skills is crucial for both personal growth and professional success, particularly in the healthcare field. As a newly established chapter at Virginia Tech, we recognize the unique opportunity we have to build a strong foundation for leadership within our organization. We are dedicated to offering our members numerous avenues to step into leadership roles.
